Bermagui Gelato

So, whilst I was down the coast. Actually on the way to visit friends in Cobargo, we decided to take the scenic route from Tathra through Bermagui. The last thing we expected to see was an authentic Italian gelateria with fresh homemade gelato, where the Bermagui vetinary clinic used to be. Wow. The selection of flavours is huge, but since it was late in the day there was not too many flavours left in the fridge.

I had Masala Chai and Chocolate chilli. The chai was just like having an icy cold refreshing chai and the chocolate chilli was rich and chocolate with the chilli being a warm rather than “spicy” flavour, but it ended up packing a punch by the last spoonful.
Casey on the other hand had chinotto, which he liked but still found weird; creamy and flat.
If you are on the far south coast of NSW and the weather is hot, or even midly warm I definately recommend that you drop in.

The gossip I heard from someones mum (isn’t that always the way) that he was trained in Italy, but in the north, but his teacher was trained in sicily… my my… I can’t verify if that is true as my endless plans to come back never managed to come into fruition.
